FAQs

Where is your data hosted?

We store your account and spreadsheet data in the Google Cloud Platform, exclusively on servers in the European Union, specifically in Belgium.

More on this can be found here.

Is Rows GDPR compliant?

In short: Yes 🙂

More on this can be found here.

Is my bank data secure?

Yes, your bank data is highly secure. Plaid, the provider we use for our Bank Accounts integration, is a trusted industry leader in financial data security and employs encryption and advanced security protocols to protect user data. Plaid operates with the same level of security as major banks, and data is encrypted at all stages of transfer.

Additionally, Rows does not store your bank login credentials — Plaid handles authentication directly, ensuring your credentials remain private.

Why do I have an error while refreshing data?

In order to stay compliant with various regulations across North America & Europe, you may need to reauthorize your Bank Accounts connection to continue accessing data via Plaid.

This is common in Europe, where consent typically expires after 180 days. However, you may also have the need to reauthorize after 60 days or 12 months (depending on the bank you're connecting to and the region).

You can read more about this on Plaid's approach to connecting to Bank Accounts data, as well as in their Data Transparency Messaging guide.

When and how do I reauthorize my connection?

Here are a few situations where you may need to disconnect / delete the connection that you've connected to Rows via our Bank Accounts integration —

To reauthirze your connection, please follow the steps below —

  1. From your Rows dashboard, navigate to Settings > Integration
  2. Hover over the connection listed under the Bank Accounts integration
  3. Click on the bin icon to delete the connection
  4. Next, navigate to the Bank Accounts integration page
  5. Click on the Connect button to reconnect your bank account

How far back can I access transaction data?

Plaid provides you with up to 24 months of transaction data.

Since we limit each data request to about 6MB in Rows, you may have to pull smaller chunks of data by specifying shorter intervals of time.
