Breaking Down Data Barriers: Nonclinical PT’s Success with Rows

Imagine having to export Marketing data from multiple platforms, spend to put them together and find a way to make it all legible just to keep your team informed.

For Rick Castorani, the Operations Manager at Nonclinical PT, this was every day.

Nonclinical PT has a fascinating mission. They are an online education platform dedicated to helping rehab professionals—like physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists—transition to nonclinical roles. As their mission gained momentum - they’ve helped more than 200 professionals change careers and host a 50k person Facebook Group - so did their data challenges. Information was scattered across Google Drive, Guru, Airtable, and more. Managing and interpreting this data wasn’t just time-consuming—it was holding them back.

Rick tells us that there were three “data problems”:

  • Scattered Data: Essential information was spread across various platforms, making it hard to access and use efficiently.

  • Complex Analytics: Like many SMBs, they relied on Google Analytics 4 for all their website and SEO reporting. But that didn’t solve the problem: GA4 was not flexible enough, it was too hard to navigate and it didn’t help them share the analysis with their team.

  • Remote Team Collaboration: Being a fully remote team, Rick wanted a solution that integrated well with the tools they already use, like Notion, that they use for all internal documentation.

During a late-night search for better tools, Rick discovered Rows. Its ability to consolidate data and create customized dashboards—without requiring developer expertise—caught his attention. After testing the platform, it became clear that Rows was the right fit. Here’s why:

  1. Templates for Quick Setup: Nonclinical PT leveraged Rows’ extensive template gallery, starting the Google Search Console Report template. These pre-built Templates saved time and ensured consistent, accurate reporting.

  2. Freemium Model: Rows’ free plan allowed them to explore its features and prove its value before committing—perfect for their lean team.

  3. Customizable Dashboards: Rows’ intuitive interface enabled them to create tailored reports for SEO, social media, and website performance. This flexibility helped them focus on the metrics that mattered most.

  4. Seamless Notion Integration: The ability to embed dashboards directly into their Notion workspace meant team members could access real-time data within their daily workflow. This improved collaboration and decision-making.

One standout moment came when Rick created a dashboard for their marketing manager. The dashboard tracked website referral traffic from social media and follower trends over time. Initially, the data was hard to interpret. Rick recalled, “With 50,000 followers, adding 100 new ones a day looked like a flat line. So, I added a few extra columns, including a delta column, to make a more insightful chart. In minutes, the dashboard told the real story—our manager could see exactly how her content was performing and what resonated with the community.”

This quick adjustment turned raw data into actionable insights, helping the team understand and optimize their efforts.

With Rows, Non-Clinical PT looks at data differently:

  • All in One Place: Marketing data is now organized in a single location, accessible both in Rows and directly in Notion. This setup makes it easier for the team to find and use the information they need.

  • Sharper Insights: Dashboards provide a clear view of key metrics like website performance, SEO results, and social media trends. With this visibility, the team can make informed decisions based on what the data shows.

  • Ready for Growth: Rows supports their plans to expand into new areas like nursing and dentistry. The platform scales with their needs, helping them manage data effectively as they grow.
