2023 W21 - Sending a message with Illustrations

Every week I post about one thing that happened at Rows. We're building in public!

In the last two weeks, we have been updating our investor presentation.

Our design team created a new illustration for this slide deck, one that symbolizes what Rows is about.

(The illustration is the head image of this article!)

We wanted it to represent the 3 key distinct things about Rows:

• Spreadsheet

• Data

• Sharing

All of them figure in the design in different ways. The spreadsheet is at the top, which is what you see and what you get (you're in control!); the data sits behind the interface, powering it; and the sharing, from us to our users to other people, is the open hand.

We think it's important to sweat the small details.
