Using Textboxes

Learn how to use the Textbox element to add rich text, headings, and context to your dashboard for better clarity and presentation.

The Textbox is a new element in Rows that allows you to add rich, contextual information directly to your dashboards. Unlike table cells, which focus on data, a Textbox is designed to complement and inform — helping you guide, explain, or structure your dashboard content for viewers.

Textboxes are great when you need to add context or clarity around your data. They’re especially useful in dashboards where a quick explanation, heading, or visual separation improves understanding and presentation.

Here are some ways to use Textboxes:

  • Headings: Create section titles with full control over size, color, and alignment.
  • Descriptions: Add formatted explanations or instructions next to your data.
  • Lists: Provide bullet or numbered steps for processes or data insights.
