How to extract invoice data?

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. Upload the invoice PDF or image

There are two ways to upload:

1. Inside a spreadsheet: Click Import > File or drag the file into the table canvas.
2. From the dashboard: Use the Import file option.

2. Provide extraction instructions

Once you upload the file, you can give a prompt to help the AI focus on relevant data. This is optional but especially useful for invoices that contain a lot of clutter or non-tabular info.

Prompt examples:

• Extract invoice date, supplier name, total amount, due date and currency.
• Get invoice number, subtotal, tax, and final total from the PDF.
• Extract only the line items: item name, quantity, unit price and line total.

If you leave this field empty, Rows Vision will try to extract everything it finds.
