Export your Rows spreadsheets to XLSX or CSV to use your data outside of Rows. This lets you share files, create backups, or continue working in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or data analysis platforms.
How to export as an XLSX file
You should choose this option in case you wish to export the entire spreadsheet in a single file.
Here's how you can do it —
- Open the spreadsheet you want to export.
- Click the ••• (More options) menu in the top-right of the editor.
- Select the Download as XLSX option.

How to export as a CSV file
You should choose this option in case you wish to export a single table to a single file.
Here's how you can do it —
- Open the spreadsheet and select the table you want to export.
- Click the ⠇⠇ (Table options) menu in the top-left of the table.
- Select the Download as CSV option.

Limitations
When exporting the entire spreadsheet to an XLSX file, certain elements won’t be retained in the output:
- Textblocks
- Charts created using Python
- Conditional formatting
- Merged cells
- Any advanced Pivot Table features that aren’t supported in Excel (these will be converted to a standard table instead)
